Remember how I told you all to use that Kill White filter to remove the white from around lines in a line drawing.  Forget that.  Silly me.  Do this instead:

Yeah, or even easier (assuming you are starting from a sketch – not a colored image) – just select your sketch layer in the layers pallet and use the layers attributes flipper (at the top left) and multiply it. If you need darker lines, use your Image>adjustment> Levels or curves. Still not dark enough? Duplicate the layer.

    Multiplying the layer will not leave any jagged pixels to hassle with.
